How To Join

Membership in La Terre Federal Credit Union is available to persons who live, work (or regularly conduct business in), worship or attend school in Lafourche or Terrebonne Parishes; volunteers in the community; and members of their immediate family including spouse, children, siblings, parents, grandparents, grandchildren, stepparents, stepchildren, step-siblings or adoptive relationships of those individuals.

Membership applications (Account Cards) are available under the Applications/Forms tab above. Submit a completed membership application along with a $5.00 deposit and a $5.00 membership fee to either credit union office by mail or in person. You will need to provide two forms of identification and documentation of your current physical address.

This is also a good time to open a checking account with us. We have several to choose from. They are outlined on our Checking Products page under the Products/Services tab above. Sign up for direct deposit and enjoy the ease of automatic savings and checking deposits and loan payments. Contact us for additional information.

Please note that all new members must open a savings account before any other accounts may be opened. This primary savings account must remain open for the duration of the membership.

USA PATRIOT Act Information

To help fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies each person who opens an account, including joint owners.

What this means to you. When you open an account, we will ask you for your name, address, date of birth and other information that will allow us to identify you. We also may ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying documents.
